Claritas ring of trajanus 210mm

The mouthblown glass vases in Timo Sarpaneva’s celebrated Claritas collection are unique art objects showcasing Iittala’s superior expertise of art glass design. Instead of using a mould, each Claritas is built by mixing single layers of clear and coloured glass. Sarpaneva achieved the remarkable ’eyes’ effect through his interpretation of an old steam blowing method. This results is an everchanging illusion of patterns inside the layered glass depending on the angle that it’s viewed.

The dimensions of each decorative vase vary depending on the master glassblower, making each Claritas a truly one of a kind showpiece. Claritas Ring of Trajanus combines tall sophistication with dark elegance for striking impact.
