The shape of the Aalto 251mm vase follows the iconic waves of the classic Savoy vase. The higher size is perfect for taller flowers and branches. The new salmon pink tone makes the vase a stunning centerpiece. The vase is perfect for tall flowers such as roses and lilies, thanks to its height and narrower proportions. Architect Alvar Aalto created the Aalto collection for Karhula-Iittala Glass Design Competition in 1936. Compared to the decorative style of the time, his simple and organic vases were a revolutionary statement. The Aalto vase is a truly versatile object. They can be displayed as a group or as a single, exclusive work of art, a pleasure to own or to give as a present. Each Aalto vase is hand-crafted and mouth-blown at the Iittala glassworks in Finland. Hand wash only.
