Claritas 170mm clear

Each mouthblown glass vase in Timo Sarpaneva’s famous Claritas collection is a unique art object showcasing the superior expertise of Iittala’s glass art design. Instead of using a mould, each Claritas is built by mixing single layers of clear and coloured glass. Sarpaneva achieved the remarkable ’eyes’ effect through his interpretation of an old steam blowing method. This results in everchanging patterns inside the layered glass depending on the angle that it’s viewed.

The dimensions of each decorative vase vary depending on the master glassblower, making each Claritas a truly one of a kind showpiece. The clear Claritas creates striking impact with its sensuous circular form and stunning sophistication.
