Flycatcher 95x60mm moss green-copper

Oiva Toikka is one of the greatest names in Finnish design. His iconic Birds by Toikka collection first took flight in 1972 with the creation of his small glass Flycatchers at the Nuutajärvi glass factory. Created in close collaboration with the glassblowers, the Birds by Toikka collection combined Toikka’s passion for nature and blown glass art. In 2014 the production of the series was transferred to the Iittala Glass Factory, where Toikka continued his close partnership with the team. Each glass bird is a one of a kind art object. Handcrafted and mouthblown, the collection embodies Toikka’s endless imagination. Iittala re-launches the original Flycatcher design from the 1970’s. The colourful bird features a simple, transparent body in moss green with a copper beak. Reflects light beautifully. An elegant home decoration that makes a precious gift.
